Whole Chicken is one of the most versatile proteins you can keep in the freezer—perfect for a classic roast dinner, shredded chicken for meal prep, or a comforting homemade soup.
At approximately 1.7kg, it’s ideal for feeding the family while leaving plenty of leftovers for the week. Roast it simply with salt, pepper, lemon and herbs, or add garlic herb butter under the skin with lemon and rosemary in the cavity for extra flavour.
Cook in the oven until the internal temperature of the breast reaches 74°C for perfectly tender, juicy chicken. Serve with fresh salad or roast vegetables for a classic meal, then use the carcass to make stock or bone broth to get even more value from every bird.
